Actor Eshan Shanker marks his Bollywood debut with ‘Machine’

Eshan Shanker who marks his Bollywood debut with Abbas-Mustan’s upcoming romantic thriller film‘Machine’ is all geared up & appears confident before the film’s release. The 26-year-old actor having an international degree in acting and a passion for fitness and dance has left no stone unturned for his Bollywood debut. He dedicated the last three years of his life to gymnastics, weight training, dance workouts and rigorous acting workshops.

 

Says Eshan, “I have always been a movie buff until I figured out for myself what I really wanted to do. It has always been my father’s dream to watch me become an actor and as I grew up to get inclined towards acting, it is a combination of my dream as well my father’s which I believe I can fulfil.”

 

As a newcomer, Eshan feels that everyone comes with their own expectations & desires and firmly believes in what he can conceive. “Without drawing comparisons, I want my work, commitment to the craft & my style to speak and make the difference. I hope that the audience appreciates me for my performance.”

 

Apart from acting, Eshan also underwent a strict fitness regime daily for 9 to 10 hours preparing for his role in the film ‘Machine’. His training would daily begin with gymnastics as early as six in the morning for 1.5 hours at the Indian Gymnastics Association followed by acting workshops for six hours a day with Prashant Singh, a prominent theatre artiste and strenuous workout sessions for 2.5 hours a day for four months.

 

Eshan who has completed his schooling from the New York Film Academy and has a diploma degree in acting also has a diploma from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He has also assisted on films like Gippi & 2 States under the banner of Dharma Productions.

 

 

‘Machine’ directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced by Pen Movies and Abbas-Mustan Productions releases in theatres on March 17, 2017.

Raveena Tandon, who will next be seen essaying the role of a mother in ‘Maatr – The Mother’ also features Madhur Mittal as the antagonist, who was also seen in Slumdog Millionaire. The movie delves on justice for women, who have been victims of violence and rape. After the success of her debut movie in Tollywood industry, Mehreen Pirzada is ready to set her foot in Bollywood with the upcoming release “Phillauri” produced by Anushka Sharma and directed by Anshai Lal.

Katrina injures herself while shooting for Jagga Jasoos, no longer perform at Zee Cine Awards 2017

While Katrina Kaif was earlier scheduled to perform at the upcoming Zee Cine Awards , the star will no longer be performing at the show, due to an unforeseen injury.

Sources reveal that while shooting for Jagga Jasoos ,Katrina was injured on the sets as something heavy fell on her neck and hurt her. The doctors have strictly advised her against any physical activity or exertion, for a few days post the injury.

Says Katrina Kaif’s spokesperson, ” This is to clarify that Katrina Kaif will no longer be performing at the Zee Cine Awards, due to an injury she met with on the sets .The doctors have advised her rest and to strictly avoid any strenuous physical activity or exertion. Katrina is extremely dissapointed that she was not able to work through the injury. She is recuperating and will resume work shortly after a period of rest “.

Salman- Katrina starrer will begin filming a song and slick action with Hollywood Guru in Austria 

Yash Raj Films Tiger Zinda Hai, sequel to the record making blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, has a grand scale and truly global, larger than life feel befitting a sleek, stylish spy drama. The film will go on floors this March 15 in the freezing locales of Tyrol, Austria with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. 

Ali Abbas Zafar will be directing it.  For the film’s action and stunt sequence,  well known Hollywood stunt performer Tom Stuthers will be in charge. 

With its snow-capped mountains, icy surroundings and small, quaint rural hamlets marking the territory of this province in Austria, conditions of filming here are challenging. The film’s team will take on this challenge and shoot a beautiful song sequence and also film  slick, edge of the seat action here. Tom Sturthers, who is known for the eye popping stunts in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises), stunts in Tiger Zinda Hai are bound to set the adrenaline pumping. 

A YRF spokesperson said, “It will be very cold to shoot here, but Tyrol is both an unexplored and a stunningly beautiful location. We loved the challenge of shooting here. Tom Struthers will bring in a lot of value with his expertise. That Salman and Katrina agreed to shoot in this freezing cold place, where temperatures fall below minus twenty degrees, just goes on to prove how committed they are to the film. “

With Salman Khan and Katrina together in this film and some mind blowing action and stunts, expect Tiger Zinda Hai to keep you entertained. The film will also travel to various other locations abroad during the course of its shoot.

While the first look left fans in a frenzy, Vidya Balan introduces us to her daring family of women in the second poster. Whether it’s Gauahar Khan’s charcoal filled piercing gaze or Pallavi Sharda’s no-nonsense stance, Begum Jaan is definitely one to watch out for! The actress will be seen essaying the role of a mother in the film and the film delves on the road to justice for women who are victims of violence and rape. As a society we need to change our laws to protect women.”
